When you contact me

If you email me, call, or reply to an approach from me, I hold what you send: your name, business email address, telephone number, company, and the content of your message. I use it to answer you and to take steps toward a possible contract.

Lawful basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request prior to entering a contract; and Art. 6(1)(f), my legitimate interest in conducting business correspondence.

When I approach you first

I contact manufacturers of windows, doors and signage in Romania, Italy, Spain, France, the United Kingdom and elsewhere about software relevant to their trade. To do that I hold business contact details: company name, published company email address or contact form, and the job title of the relevant role. These come from company websites, public registers and professional networks.

Lawful basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in business-to-business communication with companies whose published activity is directly relevant to the product.

You can stop this at any time. Reply with the word "remove", or write to the address in section 1, and your details are deleted and added to a suppression list so you are not contacted again. No explanation required, and I do not ask for one.

When your browser requests a page

My hosting provider records standard server log data: IP address, the page requested, timestamp, referrer and browser user-agent string. This is technical record-keeping needed to operate the site and defend it against abuse. I do not use it to build a profile of you and I do not combine it with anything else.

Lawful basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in the security and availability of the service.

The hosting provider is Hostico, a service operated by Awesome Projects SRL, a company registered in Romania. Server logs are generated and rotated by the provider under its own retention schedule. I do not export them, analyse them, or use them for any purpose other than investigating abuse or a fault.

Analytics

None at present. Nothing on this site measures, counts or profiles your visit. If that changes, you will be asked first, the choice will be remembered, and you will be able to change it from the footer of any page. Nothing would be measured before you agree.

This site stores nothing on your device. No cookies, no local storage, no session storage, no fingerprinting, no advertising or social media pixels.

It also loads no third-party resources. The typeface is served from this domain rather than from Google Fonts, so no request, and therefore no IP address, reaches any external company when you open a page here.

If analytics are ever switched on, a single record of your consent choice would be stored on your device so you are not asked repeatedly. That record contains a yes or no and a date, nothing else, and this page would be updated to say so before it happened.

Your data is not sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing. It reaches other parties only where a service is technically required to deliver it:

• Hosting provider stores the site and generates server logs.
• Email provider carries and stores correspondence with you.

Both roles are filled by the same company. Hosting and email for this domain are provided by Hostico (Awesome Projects SRL, Romania), which acts as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. Its data processing terms form part of the service contract. There are no other processors.

There are none. Hosting and email are both provided by Hostico, a company established in Romania, and your data is processed inside the European Economic Area. No transfer to a third country takes place, so no adequacy decision and no Standard Contractual Clauses are relied upon.

• Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: kept for up to 24 months, then deleted, so I can recognise you if you come back.
• Client correspondence and contracts: kept for the legal retention period applicable to business records in Romania, then deleted.
• Suppression list: if you ask not to be contacted, I keep the minimum needed to honour that request, indefinitely. Deleting it would mean contacting you again by accident.
• Server logs: as applied by the hosting provider, see section 2.

Under the GDPR you may ask me to:

• confirm what data I hold about you, and give you a copy (Art. 15);
• correct anything inaccurate (Art. 16);
• delete it (Art. 17);
• restrict how it is used while a dispute is resolved (Art. 18);
• provide it in a portable, machine-readable form (Art. 20);
• object to processing based on legitimate interest, including all direct marketing (Art. 21). For marketing there is no balancing test: the objection is absolute and I must stop.

Write to timotei.antonesei@asertio.ro. I answer within one month, free of charge. No automated decision-making or profiling under Art. 22 takes place.

You may complain to a supervisory authority, either the Romanian authority, where I am established, or the authority in the EU country where you live or work:
